The Cinterion® Connect Shield development board utilizes the popular and highly accessible Arduino¹ design environment, and features an intelligent modem chipset optimized for low power IoT devices that can deliver extended battery life.

The Cinterion® Connect Shield is the latest addition to Gemalto's portfolio of development tools, which help designers and systems integrators develop IoT and M2M ideas based on the company's robust connectivity modules. For the first time, it will be possible to test and prove concepts that employ Gemalto's LTE Cat. 1 wireless connectivity technology, using the familiar Arduino board format and programming language.
