Next Gen Dubai-based SOC supports local data residency, national cyber resilience priorities and faster response to regional and AI- threats
Dubai, United Arab Emirates - September 17, 2026, GLOBE NEWSWIRE:
Atos, a global leader of AI-powered digital transformation, today announced the opening of its new AI-driven Security Operations Center (SOC) in the United Arab Emirates in partnership with GCH. The new Dubai-based SOC will provide sovereign security operations with local data residency, helping organizations strengthen cyber resilience, address regional and AI-driven threats, and support compliance with UAE Information Assurance Standards and National Electronic Security Authority requirements.
The opening supports the UAE's national cyber resilience priorities by providing locally operated monitoring, detection and incident response capabilities. The SOC is designed to help government entities, critical infrastructure operators and enterprises, retain greater control over security data and operations within the UAE, while strengthening governance and alignment with local regulatory requirements.
The SOC will use advanced analytics, automation and AI-driven operations to accelerate threat detection, investigation and response. Using Agentic AI to significantly reduce Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Respond (MTTR), Atos aims to help customers reduce cyber risk and strengthen overall business resilience as threat actors increasingly use AI to automate and scale attacks.
The UAE SOC will collaborate with the Atos Global Threat Research Center to provide curated threat intelligence informed by global visibility and tailored to the local and regional threat landscape. This approach combines Atos' international cyber expertise with locally relevant intelligence to support faster and more informed security decisions.
Daniele Principato, head of International Markets, Atos, said: “We are proud to bring AI-powered security operations to the UAE, combining local control with global intelligence in an increasingly complex and fast-evolving threat landscape. Together with GCH, we enable customers to respond faster, safeguard critical operations, and advance their digital sovereignty.”
Surendrasinh Gohil, CEO, Gulf Cyberfender Hub (GCH), said : “The launch a joint UAE Security Operations Center reflects our shared commitment with Atos to supporting the UAE's vision for digital sovereignty and cyber resilience. By bringing together Atos' global cybersecurity expertise and GCH's regional capabilities, we are enabling organizations to benefit from locally hosted, AI-powered security operations that deliver faster threat detection, rapid incident response and enhanced protection against emerging cyber threats.”
Designed to defend against both conventional and AI-driven attacks, the SOC will combine human expertise with AI-enabled detection, investigation and response. Its local operating model and connection to Atos' global threat research capabilities as well as the Atos Global SOC network will support organizations across the UAE and the wider region as they modernize their security operations and build more resilient digital environments.
